Little Date

let me introduce my other half.. =]] hehe...his name is Hendra and he's currently doing his honors degree in swinburne university =]] we've been going out almost 45 months=] he gets to know me well=] and know how to make me happy! haha.. 'Quality Time' is first my love language and he knows it.. haha.. so we go on our little date.. quite unexpected date.

basically this book just give you all the information where you can find the good and cheap food that has been tested or recommended=]

yet some of my fave place is not in the book.. it doesnt mean that the place is not good haha.. everyone has different taste of good-ness right? hehe..

so we went out for a movie and dinner! ahaha... we go to hoyts in melbourne central and watch Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.. it was not bad.. cool.. hehe..

after that we go to federation square and went to taxi restaurant. we go up and wait for our table. we didnt book! so we dont know whether we can get a seat or not. but, we ended up getting it! =]] luck? haha.. no.. i think the restaurant is not fully book on that night, cause we can see some free table.

why we choose taxi? as mentioned in the Good food guide rate with two hats and the got an award of brown brothers wine list of the year. i get curious so we try out! as my boy friend like japanese food and i look on the description taxi is based on modern food with japanese presence =]] its rate of 16 out of 20 and for the score of 16 its means that excellent: worth seeking out. thats how it gets me more curious and wanna try out!

we love the soft butter and the sesame bread! nice!and as usual, our fave drink!lemon lime bitters..=]

here we go.. our food.. hmm... we didnt order this.. what is this? Complimentary from the chef!=]]

mushroom and something with truffle oil.. *i forget the exact name!* haha.. opps.. the only thing i remember is.. its creamy and yum! haha

''des.. look how many drink that you have?.. tsk..tsk..'' water.. lemonlime bitters.. moscato! my fave wine.. *sadly this is from other brand, not brown brothers.. they dont serve brown brothers.. thats why.. i wonder how come they got the award..this is 2008 moscato.. i want 2003.. or older.. cant find!* and empty glass.. =='' haha...

new style of king fish sashimi serve with pomegranate dressing and salad.. special menu of the day! *finally can remember! haha*

i think its king fish *forgot the fish* with crab dumpling serve with crab broth and scalop.. dont like the dumpling and love the fish crispy yet soft texture and the sweetness from the broth.. my bf say its like one of chinese food from our home town! or His mom cook..haha.. its like a comfort food and its like modern asian kind of food.



His food.. its a wagyu steak with sour cream wasabi and teriyaki sauce..

this is what we order for our dessert.. poached pear in red whine serve with pear sponge and lemon sorbet.. because the waiters spill the water on my bf lap..*but luck my bf didnt get any water in his clothing* so this is the apology and another complimentary from the chef! i think they really feel sorry about it! haha... can see how busy they was when the waiters spill the water..=]



finally we are done! and get back home!
