What Kind Of Soil Are You?

A sower went out to sow his seed...

The seed of God's Word is always productive. The only variable is the soil of our hearts. In the parable of the sower Jesus discusses different kinds of soil:

1) Hard soil. In Bible times hard-packed footpaths ran alongside the farmer's field. Any seed falling there just shriveled and died. Be careful; when you've been walked on and disappointed, you can become callous; you can develop a tough, impenetrable shield that makes it easy for satan to come along and steal the seed of God's Word before it has a chance to grow. Prayer will keep that from happening, so '… break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord… ' (Hosea 10:12 NIV). 2) Superficial soil. In Jesus' day much of the farmland was just a few inches of topsoil over rock, with nothing to sustain roots. One Bible teacher writes: 'Superficiality is the curse of the age. We live in a world of shallow relationships, superficial conversations, and hurried moments of prayer. We bounce from one spiritual activity to another without any real root system.' 3) Cluttered soil. This ground was overgrown with weeds. There was no room for anything else. Clutter happens so easily, and it's dangerous because it's so subtle. Ever notice how often you're bombarded with guarantees that material things will bring you happiness? Like the car manufacturer who advertises, 'You can't buy happiness, but you can drive it!' Get real! Do a soil analysis and weed out anything that's hindering your spiritual growth. Once your heart's tender, your devotion deep, and your life uncluttered, you'll be good ground that yields fruit for God.-The Vine-

just reflect our self and get blessed!

Take a Step and Learn!

recently my church has been move in a praying movement! that God has lead us to. its a basic foundation of our christian life and praying should be the easiest thing to do.. yet.. its so hard! ahahaha...there's a good sermon that my pastor, Daniel Prajogo has share God's word with us.. he said that we as a human always thought that we are strong enough to go through the ups and down that God has given to us. we are so prideful of our self and many times we always forget that we cannot do anything without His power.. strength that He has given for all of us..

when we read bible we notice that Jesus praying life is mentioned alot in matthew.. luke and mark.. But no one has notice and expose His praying life, it is because people think that Jesus is God and praying is should be an easy task to do for Him and we think that He is God and He suppose to have the power and strength so, He don't need to pray.. WE ARE WRONG!

word of God mentioned in John 5:30 'by my self i can do nothing'

Jesus is son of God who send to the world and He just like us.. a normal human being. yes He's got the power and all. but it doesnt mean that He doesn't need to pray!.

when we have our own business and all other idols in our life, we will have a 'cooling down' phase of christian life. our desire life to God and our praying life will cool down. then we will feel that praying is an obligation . because we come and seek God through praying because we want something in return.

where God ask us to pray because He wants the RELATIONSHIP with us.. His son/daughter.
i encourage all of you to makes your praying life is a natural, like instinct..NOT optional!!!! therefore He never prayed out of obligation. for Jesus, life without praying does not make sense.

our self righteousness, sufficiency often bind us from our real poverty. if we can live without praying, then we can live without God? is it??

if Jesus, His son need to pray and Jesus thinks he cant do anything without God... HOW about us???
will we think the same way as Jesus think?
(well.. im not telling this to all of you but, i do telling this to my self as well.. =]])

when we confess with our mouth.. words.. it cost NOTHING.. BUT when we confess with our life it cost EVERYTHING!!..

we wouldn't know whats happen until the times is right then when we reflect/look back we will realize how Rich is His Grace.

START TO PRAY! and rely on Him alone not Your self! =]] as he said.. ''..come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and i will give you rest.'' Matthew 11:28

hopefully you guys can be blessed! and stay blessed!
